About Us
In 1989, a group of committed volunteers began to raise money with one goal in sight, to support the Catholic school education in Frederick County. That group was incorporated as Friends of Catholic Education. We are dedicated to providing scholarships and tuition assistance for Catholic school education in Frederick, Maryland.
On February 14, 1994, Friends of Catholic Education was officially recognized by Cardinal Keeler and the Archdiocese of Baltimore. Since the humble beginning of our educational organization among concerned individuals, we have grown into a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that has an impact on the present and the future of Catholic school education. Since 1989, we have committed more than $5,000,000 in financial assistance to local schools and their families.
